****Please note this event is now SOLD OUT***
Cyanotypes are a nineteenth century photographic process using chemicals that produce cyan blue prints when exposed to sunlight.
During the workshop we will be using a variety of surplus pressed flowers, leaves and dried fruits from both Platt Fields Market Garden and Isca— with these objects you will create a selection of photograms by arranging these onto the light sensitive paper.
There will be an introduction to Platt Fields Market Gardens; a collective who are passionate about sustainable urban gardening and food growing practise, followed by an introduction to the history of Cyanotypes.
After this, you will be shown how to coat your own paper with cyanotype chemicals.
At the end of the two hour session you will leave with a range of prints and you will receive a zine recapping on the process, including a list of suppliers.
Seasonal snacks will be provided by Isca.
