Join us on 23rd September where we will be tasting orange wines from around Europe with paired organic snacks.
Natural wine is about life. It’s about the way we are in this world and our relationship with the wild life, encouraging biodiversity and engaging with the very specificity of where we are (terroir). It is about caring for the soil, the grapes and for the life growing and existing on the vineyard. And it is about celebrating the labour that this care requires, ethically and responsibly. It’s not a style, it’s a way of being. It’s not about getting a fix product, but about giving guidance and life to something that will keep evolving through time.
Orange wine is made with white grapes but using the same process then making red wine, with the skin contact. So you can have days, weeks, months of skin contact using all kind of white grape variety and or all kind of aging process. Therefore, orange wine is a bit like a white wine with tannin with deep complexity and energy. For these reasons, it pairs really well with food.
